Khajuraho - Paradise of the Sculptures

Khajuraho is a town located in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh State of India. It is around 125 km away from the Jhansi and 620 km away from the capital of India. Khajuraho is world famous tourist attraction site and one wonder amongst the seven wonder of India. It is famous for largest group of Hindu and Jain temples well-known for its erotic intricate sculptures. It is also listed in World’s UNESCO Heritage Site.

In the year 1967, Khajuraho got an amazing museum that is the best place to get a glimpse of history and culture of Khajuraho. The museum houses sculptures, statues and architectural remains of the temples during the 10th and the 12th century. Today, the museum houses more than 2000 objects, the most popular ones amongst them are Nritta Ganesha, Uma-Maheshwara, Andhakasuravadhamurti and Vaikuntha. Visiting hours of Museum is from 10 am to 7 pm. Khajuraho is also home to Panna National park, a reserve for Tigers.
