Coonoor Sightseeing Places in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu

Coonoor is famous for its verdant environments and for a variety of wildflowers and birds. It is the second largest hill station in the Nilgiri hills after Ooty. It offers many beautiful destinations to explore and hence many visitors visit this magnificent place every year.

Sim’s Park-
It is a botanical garden with a collection of more than 1000 plant species. It is developed in the Japanese style and derived its name from J. D. Sim, the secretary of the Madras Club in 1874. The key attraction of the park is the annual fruit and vegetable show held in May every year, which attracts number of visitors.

Dolphin Nose-
It is admirable viewpoint located 10 km away from the Coonoor and provides breath taking views of the Nilgiri Hill and Catherine falls. Visitors can trek from Lady Canning's Seat to Dolphin's Nose.

Droog Fort-
It is located at a distance of 13 km from Coonoor and it was once used by Tipu Sultan in the 18th century.

Law’s Fall-
It is a waterfall located 5 km from Coonoor, on the way to Mettupalayam. It falls over the height of 180 ft and surrounded with thick nature forest. It is an amazing destination for picnic in lap of nature.

Lamb’s Rock-
The Lamb's Rock is just 8 km outside Coonoor while on the way to Dolphin's Nose. The place provides some fascinating views of the Coimbatore Plains and the Coonoor hills.
