Lakshmi Narayana Temple in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Lakshmi Narayan Temple is a Hindu Temple build on Aerea hills of Bhopal, a city of Madhya Pradesh state of India. It offers panoramic views of Bhopal country-side. The temple was built by Birla family, one of the leading industrial families of India so also called as Birla Temple named after their family. The Temple mainly dedicated to goddess Lakshmi, Hindu Goddess of wealth and her divine consort, Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the Universe also known as Narayan. The temple also houses idol of Lord Shiva and Parvati .

The Lakshmi Narayan temple is of sandy yellowish color and reflects old culture from inside. On one side of the temple is a large minaret and entrance to the temple is through archway and surmounted with lush green lawns. Within the temple complex there is Birla museum which houses graceful collection of sculptures from various districts of Madhya Pradesh.
